Spectators: 8444 (Terracing: 6334, Seating: 1942, VIP seats: 168) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ralf Scenna got free with Jared Labrie in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marc Brand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thoralf Betz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 8 minutes into the match, Mjöllnir's goal looked a bit too open when Maxime Geisseler came free, but Marc Brand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, FC Zürich's goal looked a bit too open when Didier Bonenfant came free, but Jared Labrie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thoralf Betz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 12 minutes, Quentin Schmidlin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mjöllnir and the FC Zürich players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Mjöllnir's Quentin Schmidlin got a free kick in the 13th minute. Didier Bonenfant received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jared Labrie came out and tried to block the shot, but Didier Bonenfant slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 14th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Thoralf Betz notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Mjöllnir's Marc Brand. Marc Brand was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 21st match minute, Mjöllnir was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quentin Schmidlin to maneuver through the defense. Jared Labrie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quentin Schmidlin, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Didier Bonenfant in the 24th minute of play forced FC Zürich's goalkeeper Jared Labrie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thoralf Betz in the 38th minute of play forced Mjöllnir's goalkeeper Marc Brand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 40 minutes into the match, FC Zürich's goal looked a bit too open when Quentin Schmidlin came free, but Jared Labrie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jared Labrie was out of position in the 41 minute of play, and Didier Bonenfant capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. The FC Zürich fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Didier Bonenfant stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mjöllnir's Marc Brand proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Mjöllnir from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maxime Geisseler in the 63rd minute of play forced Mjöllnir's goalkeeper Marc Brand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jared Labrie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ralf Scenna, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. FC Zürich's Jared Labrie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Didier Bonenfant in the 71st minute of play. Jared Labrie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ralf Scenna, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After some careless play in the FC Zürich defense, Ralf Scenna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jared Labrie. The FC Zürich fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jared Labrie should have stopped the shot. Jared Labrie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ralf Scenna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Didier Bonenfant in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jared Labrie saved FC Zürich from getting behind. Marc Brand made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maxime Geisseler in the 90th minute. In the 92nd minute Ralf Scenna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jared Labrie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Didier Bonenfant in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jared Labrie saved FC Zürich from getting behind. Mjöllnir were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of FC Zürich for a fine match.
