Spectators: 7669 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 169) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Dick Chauvet got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd match minute, Suruç was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benoit Luthiger to maneuver through the defense. Enrico Peter came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Delémont EC's Benedict Bohm. But to his dismay, Benedict Bohm quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Marvin Neuenschwander was out of position in the 19 minute of play, and Benoit Luthiger capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Benoit Luthiger really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. In the 27th minute, Suruç's Benoit Luthiger ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marvin Neuenschwander. Marvin Neuenschwander yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. In the 33rd minute Thoralf Ferber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marvin Neuenschwander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benoit Luthiger got free with Marvin Neuenschwander in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Benoit Luthiger came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Suruç fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benoit Luthiger couldn't finish the play. Fabrizio Ambrogioni blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Enrico Peter having to make a save. Enrico Peter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quentin Galliker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

If Roberto Trolla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Kernen charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomas Kernen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 55th minute, Tomas Kernen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th minute of the match, Roberto Trolla got a very nice opportunity to score, but Enrico Peter was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With 64 minutes on the clock, Tomas Kernen commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 67 minutes into the game, Roberto Trolla recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Enrico Peter. Roberto Trolla showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. Marvin Neuenschwander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benoit Luthiger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benoit Luthiger took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marvin Neuenschwander. Marvin Neuenschwander dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. Quentin Galliker kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. When Benoit Luthiger fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Suruç's protests and gave Benoit Luthiger a yellow card for diving instead. Delémont EC's Marvin Neuenschwander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benoit Luthiger in the 92nd minute of play. Marvin Neuenschwander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benoit Luthiger, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute.
