Tony Frey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 11 minutes, Pat Wirtz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tegerfelden and the Suruç players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pat Wirtz hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. The throw-in from Yann Barrière in the 15th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Suruç's Gerulf Greter. Tony Frey was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Enrico Peter made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 34th minute, Dick Chauvet made a precise shot to the right of Tony Frey. Tegerfelden's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. In the 44th minute Rodrigo Wertscher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrico Peter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dick Chauvet was the one to do the kick off. After 54 minutes of play, Suruç's Benoit Luthiger made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tony Frey was left in no man's land by his defense there! 59 minutes into the match, Suruç's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Wertscher came free, but Enrico Peter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Suruç's Tomas Kernen got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 63rd minute of the match Enea Wechsler sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Enrico Peter skillfully saved the ball. In the 67th minute of the match Rodolphe Lieckfeldt shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tony Frey showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 73 minutes of play, Suruç's Dick Chauvet made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tony Frey was left in no man's land by his defense there! Olivier Jakobeit kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Benoit Luthiger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benoit Luthiger took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tony Frey. Tony Frey dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. When Dick Chauvet came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Suruç fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dick Chauvet couldn't finish the play. Tony Frey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benoit Luthiger, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Pat Wirtz hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Tegerfelden's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
