Maxime Geisseler might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sidonius Vittiger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maxime Geisseler ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Feios Porcos e Maus getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Reto Beck hit a great ball. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by Feios Porcos e Maus's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Maxime Geisseler was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Zürich's players had a chance to rest. FC Zürich's Maxime Geisseler was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sidonius Vittiger in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience was convinced that Thoralf Betz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sidonius Vittiger was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dominik Arsenault made a kick off. The supporters of Feios Porcos e Maus booed when FC Zürich was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudius Wiesi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC Zürich's zone, Dominik Arsenault stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jared Labrie came out of the goal and Dominik Arsenault tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the FC Zürich defense, Harvey Pfeifer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jared Labrie. The FC Zürich fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jared Labrie should have stopped the shot. Jared Labrie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin Shuster, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Maxime Geisseler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Sidonius Vittiger made a huge save. 64 minutes into the game, Benjamin Shuster was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Feios Porcos e Maus's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Zürich the free kick.
