Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000,
Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gregory Fah started the match with the kick off. Gregory Fah blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Servatius Böni having to make a save. Nathan Herz took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Servatius Böni. Servatius Böni dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 8th minute, Gregory Fah left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Eichenwies fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 17 minutes into the match, Nathan Herz notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of FC Basel's Servatius Böni. Servatius Böni was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Servatius Böni stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nathan Herz's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Gregory Fah recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Massimo Beschmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nathan Herz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 35 minutes into the match, FC Eichenwies's goalkeeper Hugo Wennersten had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lasse Wunderlin. Nathan Herz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Servatius Böni having to interfere. In the 40th minute, Nathan Herz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-6.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sandro Kretz to make the kick off. Nathan Herz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gregory Fah in the 55thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Servatius Böni, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Gregory Fah received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Servatius Böni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gregory Fah recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, FC Basel's Servatius Böni got control of the ball when Gregory Fah tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brian Wabe in the 68th minute of play forced FC Eichenwies's goalkeeper Hugo Wennersten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Nathan Herz took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Servatius Böni to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, FC Basel's Brian Wabe got a free kick in the 76th minute. Gregory Fah received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Servatius Böni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 82 minutes into the game, Adriano Stofer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Basel's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Eichenwies the free kick. Adriano Stofer kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. In the 86th match minute, FC Basel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lasse Wunderlin to maneuver through the defense. 90 minutes into the game, one of FC Basel:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Servatius Böni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nathan Herz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Eichenwies's Dominik Bernuzzi suffered a sore thigh after 97 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Douglas Garnier charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Douglas Garnier the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. FC Eichenwies made a substitution. Lenz Amhof replaced Dominik Bernuzzi. The supporters of FC Eichenwies booed when FC Basel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 99 match minutes in a wonderful position. Douglas Garnier didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Eichenwies's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
