When Harvey Dresdner came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Hemmersbacher SV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harvey Dresdner couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Hemmersbacher SV's Ray Phaneuf got a free kick in the 13th minute. The New England Tea Men fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dominik Weiss should have stopped the shot. Luca Saenger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Harvey Dresdner, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 21 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Dominik Weiss was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Scott Herz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 28 minutes into the match, Harvey Dresdner notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of New England Tea Men's Dominik Weiss. Dominik Weiss was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dominik Weiss showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harvey Dresdner in the 31st minute of the match. New England Tea Men's Dominik Weiss played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harvey Dresdner in the 34th minute of play. The corner went over the outstretched arms of New England Tea Men's goalie and right to Igor Schwegler. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. New England Tea Men's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind New England Tea Men's goalkeeper Dominik Weiss, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dominik Weiss made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Saenger in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wilbur Diederich to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Hemmersbacher SV's zone, Wilbur Diederich stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnaldo Walthert came out of the goal and Wilbur Diederich tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dominik Weiss stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Harvey Dresdner's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Harvey Dresdner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Dominik Weiss tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Hemmersbacher SV's Luca Saenger slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dominik Weiss. That made the score 0-5 after 62 minutes of play. Hemmersbacher SV's Falko Wechsler was substituted for Harvey Dresdner. Falko Wechsler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 69 minutes into the game, Hemmersbacher SV's Luca Saenger nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dominik Weiss made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. When Wilbur Diederich came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the New England Tea Men fans jumped to their feet. In the 74th minute, Falko Wechsler fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After having played for 76 minutes, Luca Saenger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hemmersbacher SV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luca Saenger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luca Saenger scored 0-7 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dominik Weiss, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Scott Herz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hemmersbacher SV's supporters rose to their feet, but Scott Herz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dominik Weiss breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 85 minutes into the game, Falko Wechsler lined in a short shot 0-8 behind a frustrated Dominik Weiss. Luca Saenger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dominik Weiss having to interfere. With a little luck, New England Tea Men's Dominik Weiss got control of the ball when Luca Saenger tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dominik Weiss made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Falko Wechsler in the 92nd minute of play.
