Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Matt Rösli started the match with the kick off. Silvester Alessandro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Volmar Boyer, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. In the 5th minute, Abel Arenas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Silvester Alessandro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Silvester Alessandro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Volmar Boyer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Allan Perktold during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Volmar Boyer sped through Winterthur's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Silvester Alessandro. 15 minutes into the match, Winterthur's goal looked a bit too open when Alfons Wespi came free, but Silvester Alessandro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Allan Perktold could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Howie Bizier made a huge save. 17 minutes into the game, FK CRVENA ZVEZDA's Ziggy Zigdon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Silvester Alessandro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Alfons Wespi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Abel Arenas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Silvester Alessandro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 24 minutes, Volmar Boyer made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Winterthur's Silvester Alessandro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Alfons Wespi came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the FK CRVENA ZVEZDA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfons Wespi couldn't finish the play. Volmar Boyer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Volmar Boyer in the 37th minute of play forced Winterthur's goalkeeper Silvester Alessandro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abel Arenas might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Silvester Alessandro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abel Arenas ran back to his position shaking his head. Silvester Alessandro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Volmar Boyer went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. Silvester Alessandro came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by FK CRVENA ZVEZDA's Volmar Boyer. But to his dismay, Volmar Boyer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. After the first half FK CRVENA ZVEZDA were leading 0-8. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Allan Perktold in the 51st minute of play forced FK CRVENA ZVEZDA's goalkeeper Howie Bizier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abel Arenas was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 53rd minute. FK CRVENA ZVEZDA's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After a rather tough play, Winterthur's Allan Perktold got a free kick in the 58th minute. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Volmar Boyer took a quick shot and it went in 0-9 without a chance for Silvester Alessandro to make any attempt to save it. Silvester Alessandro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel Arenas in the 62nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Volmar Boyer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Silvester Alessandro was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Alfons Wespi struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Silvester Alessandro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FK CRVENA ZVEZDA. In the 88th minute of the match, Tom Ritter tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Silvester Alessandro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the match was over FK CRVENA ZVEZDA could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Winterthur throughout the match.
