Hemmersbacher SV's Luca Saenger got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 8 minutes into the match, FK CRVENA ZVEZDA's goal looked a bit too open when Scott Herz came free, but Howie Bizier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adalbero Bohren during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Hemmersbacher SV's Adalbero Bohren got a free kick in the 11th minute. Arnaldo Walthert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ziggy Zigdon in the 13th minute of play. After the first half Hemmersbacher SV were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Scott Herz made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Hemmersbacher SV's goal looked a bit too open when Volmar Boyer came free, but Arnaldo Walthert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnaldo Walthert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Volmar Boyer, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 92nd minute Scott Herz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Howie Bizier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Howie Bizier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Scott Herz in the 94th minute of the match.
