Michele Rieger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Owain Wollenmann in the 12th minute of the match. Ragnar Lodbrok received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Heiner Studer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bodo Oster hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Heiner Studer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudiu Bumba in the 20th minute of play. Patrice Barkholz hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 31st match minute, 1. FC Union Weberei was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Owain Wollenmann to maneuver through the defense. 1. FC Union Weberei's Heiner Studer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save 1. FC Union Weberei from getting a goal against them. Heiner Studer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ragnar Lodbrok in the 34th minute. Heiner Studer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudiu Bumba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bodo Oster's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Heiner Studer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Claudiu Bumba to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Giuliano Baumann managed to get in a good position for a shot. 1. FC Union Weberei's supporters rose to their feet, but Giuliano Baumann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michele Rieger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 58 minutes, Owain Wollenmann mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the 1. FC Union Weberei and the Axenstein players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 58 played minutes 1. FC Union Weberei got a freekick which was hit by Owain Wollenmann. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ragnar Lodbrok in the 59th minute of play forced 1. FC Union Weberei's goalkeeper Heiner Studer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Heiner Studer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudiu Bumba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Claudiu Bumba came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Axenstein fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudiu Bumba couldn't finish the play. When Manolito Baumann fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 1. FC Union Weberei's protests and gave Manolito Baumann a yellow card for diving instead. After 75 played minutes 1. FC Union Weberei got a freekick which was hit by Manolito Baumann. Ragnar Lodbrok took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Heiner Studer. Heiner Studer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Manolito Baumann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joshua Kimmich's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Heiner Studer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. In the 92nd match minute, Axenstein was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentin Trucco to maneuver through the defense. 1. FC Union Weberei's Heiner Studer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ragnar Lodbrok in the 94th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Axenstein had won after a very even match.
