Sylvain Witschard was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lukas Christen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godo Gøl having to interfere. The supporters of FC Totenteich booed when FC Lugano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Sanger didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Nigel Andermatt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 16 minutes, Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Lugano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon in the 20th minute of play forced FC Totenteich's goalkeeper Sylvain Witschard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 赵桑适 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 32nd minute, Nigel Andermatt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Totenteich fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. 38 minutes into the match, FC Lugano's goalkeeper Godo Gøl had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lukas Christen. If Ray Büeler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. FC Lugano's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Julio Palluzzi in the 44th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of FC Totenteich's goalie and right to Benoit Ritieni. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. FC Totenteich's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Valentiano Bussmann hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and 赵桑适 made a kick off. Godo Gøl didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from 赵桑适 went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Sylvain Witschard made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon sent off a good shot on target. Godo Gøl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 赵桑适, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 91 minutes FC Lugano's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Earvin Gilli who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Germain Arnold got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Godo Gøl quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 94th minute, Philippe Stocker left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Totenteich fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1.
