Stig Verlengia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Hofstetter in the 3rd minute of play. Augustin Heinzmann kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Stig Verlengia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Hofstetter in the 8th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Zbytniewski in the 8th minute of play forced Liver Bird's goalkeeper Stig Verlengia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Silvain Zimmermann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Yan Fossati made a huge save. Yan Fossati made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacques La Rosa in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st match minute, Brütten was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edward Zbytniewski to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Brütten's Gareth Barron got a free kick in the 22nd minute. A hard shot 24 in the game by Pat Eggers from a close distance when the talented Yan Fossati managed to make a qualified save. Brütten's players were relieved. With his leg Yan Fossati managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when Liver Bird's Clinton Werfel fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Timoteo Kuhn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Yan Fossati tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Timoteo Kuhn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Yan Fossati made a huge save. The supporters of Liver Bird booed when Brütten was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clark Högger didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th minute Nathaniel Howald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yan Fossati saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Timoteo Kuhn got free with Yan Fossati in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pat Eggers in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yan Fossati saved Brütten from getting behind. In the 43rd minute, Silvain Zimmermann had to leave the field with a concussion. After 43 minutes, Augustin Heinzmann mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brütten and the Liver Bird players grew even worse after the yellow card. Liver Bird's Jonathan Lamontagne was substituted for Silvain Zimmermann. After 44 played minutes Brütten got a freekick which was hit by Augustin Heinzmann. The Liver Bird fans' excitement grew in the 45th match minute when Liver Bird's Timoteo Kuhn looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pat Eggers stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Yan Fossati came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Liver Bird's Pat Eggers. But to his dismay, Pat Eggers quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 2-1 became the score in the 54th minute when Edward Zbytniewski elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 56th match minute, Brütten was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Earnest Höltschi to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Nathaniel Howald put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Yan Fossati. 61 minutes into the match, Liver Bird's goalkeeper Stig Verlengia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clint Paly. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Liver Bird's goalkeeper Stig Verlengia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Yan Fossati showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timoteo Kuhn in the 68th minute of the match. Brütten's Yan Fossati played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timoteo Kuhn in the 68th minute of play. If Alberto Hofstetter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yan Fossati showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pat Eggers in the 72nd minute of the match. Timoteo Kuhn blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Yan Fossati having to make a save. Liver Bird made a substitution. Dimitris Rapsopodis replaced Pat Eggers. After a rather tough play, Brütten's Alexander Bettinelli got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 84th minute of the match Nathaniel Howald sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Yan Fossati skillfully saved the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Clinton Werfel in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yan Fossati prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Liver Bird's Clinton Werfel in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Brütten's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Brütten's zone, Nathaniel Howald stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yan Fossati came out of the goal and Nathaniel Howald tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
