Lionel Paly took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pastor Dominix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chancy Olympique's Alex Méret proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Chancy Olympique from getting a goal against them. Alex Méret didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Wil 1900. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
In the 51st minute Pastor Dominix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lionel Paly saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 53 minutes into the match, Chancy Olympique's goal looked a bit too open when Emery Heller came free, but Alex Méret reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chancy Olympique's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Téo Rosa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. FC Wil 1900 were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Chancy Olympique for a fine match.
