The audience was convinced that Tory Pryor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but David Aberle was relentless in the 2nd minute of the game. A collision led to FC Wil 1900 getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Téo Rosa hit a great ball. Martin Rutsch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lionel Paly having to interfere. If Martin Rutsch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Aberle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emery Heller, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. An unexpected shot in the 18th minute by Martin Rutsch got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Martin Rutsch who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Lionel Paly when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Pirmin Jäggi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Giorgos Papaiakovou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 25th minute Giorgos Papaiakovou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lionel Paly saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 27 in the game by Martin Rutsch from a close distance when the talented Lionel Paly managed to make a qualified save. FC Wil 1900's players were relieved. Thanks to some nice moves Martin Rutsch could shoot a difficult shot in the 31st minute, which Lionel Paly however easily saved by the left post. FC Wil 1900's Téo Rosa got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 36th minute Tory Pryor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Aberle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 37 minutes, Glenn Huez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uetendorf Wanderers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Glenn Huez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 37th minute, but Lionel Paly got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving FC Wil 1900 hanging dry this time. In the 38th minute of the match Uetendorf Wanderers got a corner. FC Wil 1900's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Zachary Pionek ran over to the corner to take the kick. Lionel Paly showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Özcan Balcik in the 43rd minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tory Pryor to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Uetendorf Wanderers's Alon LeBatelier got a free kick in the 51st minute. David Aberle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Téo Rosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute, FC Wil 1900's Friedrich Nietzsche seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Friedrich Nietzsche the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC Wil 1900 protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Friedrich Nietzsche had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glenn Huez in the 66th minute of play forced FC Wil 1900's goalkeeper Lionel Paly to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Aberle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Téo Rosa in the 71st minute of play. Pirmin Jäggi succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 73rd playminute. In the 75th minute, Martin Rutsch ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lionel Paly was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Pirmin Jäggi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving David Aberle. That made the score 2-2 in the 80 minute of play. If Pirmin Jäggi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Wil 1900's Lionel Paly played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Özcan Balcik in the 89th minute of play. Lionel Paly took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Özcan Balcik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Uetendorf Wanderers's David Aberle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Uetendorf Wanderers from getting a goal against them. Alon LeBatelier was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 95 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 94th minute of the game. One of Uetendorf Wanderers:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Wil 1900:s goal. After some careless play in the FC Wil 1900 defense, Özcan Balcik kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lionel Paly. The FC Wil 1900 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lionel Paly should have stopped the shot. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
