Fergus Maina was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. FC Wil 1900's Emery Heller got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC Wil 1900's Lionel Paly played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricius Lafranchi in the 21st minute of play. Lionel Paly stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Patricius Lafranchi's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. 25 minutes into the match, Emery Heller had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fergus Maina. Ämmer Sportfreaks's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emery Heller was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 28 minutes into the match, FC Wil 1900's goal looked a bit too open when Gutierre Lauri came free, but Lionel Paly reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Ämmer Sportfreaks booed when FC Wil 1900 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pirmin Jäggi didn't get a good kick on the ball. 32 minutes into the match, FC Wil 1900's goal looked a bit too open when Gutierre Lauri came free, but Lionel Paly reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lionel Paly stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gutierre Lauri's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Patricius Lafranchi took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lionel Paly. Lionel Paly dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Dan Gerber's late challenge caught a FC Wil 1900's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dan Gerber helped the player get up and apologised. Lionel Paly showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Willem Rinert in the 44th minute of the match. Ämmer Sportfreaks's Fergus Maina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tory Pryor in the 45th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Bernhard Zollinger's late challenge caught a Ämmer Sportfreaks's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernhard Zollinger helped the player get up and apologised. The goalkeeper, Lionel Paly, was totally fooled by Ämmer Sportfreaks's Gutierre Lauri, who 51 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. A nice corner shot did that Téo Rosa got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fergus Maina quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Fergus Maina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tory Pryor in the 70th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pirmin Jäggi in the 74th minute of play forced Ämmer Sportfreaks's goalkeeper Fergus Maina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Gutierre Lauri's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lionel Paly was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Fergus Maina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tory Pryor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute, Bernhard Zollinger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lionel Paly was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Willem Rinert. In the 97th minute, Téo Rosa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fergus Maina was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2.
