In the 14th minute Albain Furst shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregor Kobel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Espen Steelers's goal looked a bit too open when Irwin Monney came free, but Gregor Kobel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 21 minutes in the game Calistrat Velicu did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Williams Imholz. Zelg FC's Sepp Mainville played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alain Berset in the 22nd minute of play. Sepp Mainville made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alain Berset in the 24th minute. Irwin Monney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Gregor Kobel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zelg FC's Sepp Mainville proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Zelg FC from getting a goal against them. The throw-in from Calistrat Velicu in the 33rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Zelg FC's Stephan Eichenberger. Sepp Mainville showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alain Berset in the 35th minute of the match. Alain Berset could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Sepp Mainville made a huge save. Alain Berset might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sepp Mainville. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alain Berset ran back to his position shaking his head. 38 minutes into the match, Zelg FC's goalkeeper Sepp Mainville had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alain Berset. In the 41st minute, Alain Berset ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sepp Mainville was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 46th minute Alain Berset shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sepp Mainville saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Sepp Mainville showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alain Berset in the 53rd minute of the match. Sepp Mainville made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alain Berset in the 56th minute of play. 56 minutes into the game, Alain Berset cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Sepp Mainville was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jonas Herz's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 60thth minute, Gregor Kobel skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Alain Berset blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sepp Mainville having to make a save. In the 66th minute, Irwin Monney ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gregor Kobel was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Espen Steelers made a substitution. Rogelio Montez replaced Alain Berset. 70 minutes into the match, Rogelio Montez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sepp Mainville. Zelg FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rogelio Montez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Espen Steelers's Roman Beljean was substituted for Alberto Giacometti. Sepp Mainville took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rogelio Montez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The throw-in from Lenny Traugott in the 78th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Espen Steelers's Raffaelo Berger. If Rogelio Montez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zelg FC's goalkeeper Sepp Mainville, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 80 minutes into the game, Nino Schurter cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Sepp Mainville was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 82 played minutes Espen Steelers got a freekick which was hit by Calistrat Velicu. When Espen Steelers's Rogelio Montez, in the 86th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Espen Steelers. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Espen Steelers's goalkeeper Gregor Kobel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 91st minute Irwin Monney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregor Kobel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Rogelio Montez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sepp Mainville was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. Rogelio Montez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sepp Mainville read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nino Schurter in the 95th minute of play forced Zelg FC's goalkeeper Sepp Mainville to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 97 minutes into the match, Espen Steelers's Rogelio Montez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sepp Mainville narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Espen Steelers fans cheered their team off the field, for while Zelg FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
