Patricius Lafranchi took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stefan Lyle. Stefan Lyle dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 10 played minutes Ämmer Sportfreaks got a freekick which was hit by Dan Gerber. Fergus Maina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lorenzo Hagenbuch in the 12th minute of play. In the 14th minute Gutierre Lauri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan Lyle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stefan Lyle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricius Lafranchi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stefan Lyle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricius Lafranchi, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. The corner ended in Gutierre Lauri almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Thierachern's Stefan Lyle did a great save. In the 25th match minute, Ämmer Sportfreaks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Willem Rinert to maneuver through the defense. FC Thierachern were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Ämmer Sportfreaks's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lorenzo Hagenbuch took the corner. The corner ended in Lorenzo Hagenbuch almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ämmer Sportfreaks's Fergus Maina did a great save. A collision led to Ämmer Sportfreaks getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Patricius Lafranchi hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gutierre Lauri in the 30th minute of play forced FC Thierachern's goalkeeper Stefan Lyle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stefan Lyle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gutierre Lauri in the 33rd minute of the match. Stefan Lyle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silverio Godoy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Patricius Lafranchi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Ämmer Sportfreaks were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gutierre Lauri to make the kick off. Lorenzo Hagenbuch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Fergus Maina tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th minute Lorenzo Hagenbuch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fergus Maina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stefan Lyle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gutierre Lauri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fergus Maina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lorenzo Hagenbuch in the 65th minute of the match. In the 66th minute of the match FC Thierachern got a corner. Ämmer Sportfreaks's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lorenzo Hagenbuch ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Pancho Jeanneret heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. When Silverio Godoy came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Ämmer Sportfreaks fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silverio Godoy couldn't finish the play. If Pavel Ghițescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the FC Thierachern defense, Gutierre Lauri kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stefan Lyle. The FC Thierachern fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stefan Lyle should have stopped the shot. Stefan Lyle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gutierre Lauri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Silverio Godoy could shoot a difficult shot in the 83rd minute, which Stefan Lyle however easily saved by the left post. With a little luck, FC Thierachern's Stefan Lyle got control of the ball when Silverio Godoy tried to sneak it across the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, Ämmer Sportfreaks's goal looked a bit too open when Pavel Ghițescu came free, but Fergus Maina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fergus Maina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pavel Ghițescu in the 88th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricius Lafranchi in the 92nd minute of play forced FC Thierachern's goalkeeper Stefan Lyle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lorenzo Hagenbuch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Ämmer Sportfreaks supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ämmer Sportfreaks would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
