Stig Verlengia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giorgos Papaiakovou in the 10th minute of the match. Stig Verlengia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Giorgos Papaiakovou's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. David Aberle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Clinton Werfel in the 16th minute. With his leg David Aberle managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when Liver Bird's Clinton Werfel fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 24th minute Glenn Huez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stig Verlengia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Liver Bird's goal looked a bit too open when Glenn Huez came free, but Stig Verlengia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pat Eggers to make the kick off. The supporters of Liver Bird booed when Uetendorf Wanderers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Glenn Huez didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Clinton Werfel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but David Aberle was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. After having played for 58 minutes, Pat Eggers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Liver Bird's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pat Eggers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. David Aberle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacques La Rosa in the 59th minute of play. After 62 minutes, Pat Eggers mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Liver Bird and the Uetendorf Wanderers players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 62nd match minute, Liver Bird was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pat Eggers to maneuver through the defense. Liver Bird's Stig Verlengia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Liver Bird from getting a goal against them. 64 minutes into the match, Liver Bird's goalkeeper Stig Verlengia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zachary Pionek. In the 72ndth minute of the game Clinton Werfel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uetendorf Wanderers's David Aberle was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Liver Bird's Ross Flückiger was substituted for Alfred Parolini. Stig Verlengia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Glenn Huez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Liver Bird's Dimitris Rapsopodis got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 83rdth minute of the game Nathaniel Howald who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uetendorf Wanderers's David Aberle was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dimitris Rapsopodis in the 89th minute of play forced Uetendorf Wanderers's goalkeeper David Aberle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 92 minutes into the match, Uetendorf Wanderers's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Lamontagne came free, but David Aberle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dimitris Rapsopodis in the 94th minute of play forced Uetendorf Wanderers's goalkeeper David Aberle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dimitris Rapsopodis in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg David Aberle saved Uetendorf Wanderers from getting behind. Liver Bird's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
