Spectators: 10842 (Terracing: 8133, Seating: 2493, VIP seats: 216) FC Wil 1900's Tory Pryor started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricius Lafranchi in the 11th minute of play forced FC Wil 1900's goalkeeper Lionel Paly to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute, Téo Rosa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 19 minutes into the match, FC Wil 1900's goal looked a bit too open when Gutierre Lauri came free, but Lionel Paly reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tory Pryor in the 25th minute of play forced Ämmer Sportfreaks's goalkeeper Fergus Maina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dan Gerber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tory Pryor in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fergus Maina prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Silverio Godoy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lionel Paly read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. In the 40th minute of the match, Patricius Lafranchi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lionel Paly saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Wil 1900's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Willem Rinert was slow to take the kick. During this time Ämmer Sportfreaks's players had a chance to rest. Ämmer Sportfreaks's Antonio Rodrigues was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lionel Paly in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 42nd minute, Olivier Bigler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fergus Maina stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Téo Rosa's shot from short distance in the 44th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gutierre Lauri to make the kick off. If Gutierre Lauri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 50th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fergus Maina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Téo Rosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Pirmin Jäggi hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Gutierre Lauri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gutierre Lauri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lionel Paly having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Téo Rosa in the 64th minute of play forced Ämmer Sportfreaks's goalkeeper Fergus Maina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fergus Maina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tory Pryor in the 69th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Ämmer Sportfreaks's goal looked a bit too open when Téo Rosa came free, but Fergus Maina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd minute Téo Rosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fergus Maina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Téo Rosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Fergus Maina tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gutierre Lauri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Wil 1900's Lionel Paly played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gutierre Lauri in the 90th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC Wil 1900 eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
