Alberto Giacometti took the corner. The corner led Espen Steelers's Nino Schurter to fire away a dangerous shot which Stanislav Yakovlev despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The attack was good, but when Alain Berset in the 9th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. A collision led to Uebeschi Rangers getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Tor Sundén hit a great ball. Nino Schurter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 16 minutes into the match, Espen Steelers's goal looked a bit too open when Metin Kayaalp came free, but Gregor Kobel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stanislav Yakovlev made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rogelio Montez in the 24th minute. After a rather tough play, Uebeschi Rangers's Florian Lagnaz got a free kick in the 26th minute. Alain Berset received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Stanislav Yakovlev came out and tried to block the shot, but Alain Berset slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 27th minute. In the 29thth minute of the game Alain Berset who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uebeschi Rangers's Stanislav Yakovlev was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 31st minute, Torben Krabber hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 31 played minutes, Uebeschi Rangers's Metin Kayaalp shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gregor Kobel came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Uebeschi Rangers reached it. With a little luck, Uebeschi Rangers's Stanislav Yakovlev got control of the ball when Alain Berset tried to sneak it across the goal line. Espen Steelers's Gregor Kobel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedetto Louis in the 34th minute of play. Uebeschi Rangers's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Metin Kayaalp in the 35th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alain Berset got free with Stanislav Yakovlev in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Stanislav Yakovlev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alain Berset in the 41st minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Hassan Schürch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nino Schurter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Stanislav Yakovlev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Alain Berset made the kick off in the second half. Uebeschi Rangers's Stanislav Yakovlev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Giacometti in the 56th minute of play. When Espen Steelers's Alain Berset in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When Rogelio Montez came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Espen Steelers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rogelio Montez couldn't finish the play. Espen Steelers made a substitution. Alain Berset sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 91 played minutes Uebeschi Rangers got a freekick which was hit by Metin Kayaalp. Nino Schurter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanislav Yakovlev having to interfere. Stanislav Yakovlev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raffaelo Berger in the 95th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Uebeschi Rangers players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Espen Steelers.
