Spectators: 10861 (Terracing: 8148, Seating: 2497, VIP seats: 216) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tory Pryor started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Téo Rosa in the 3rd minute of play forced Zelg FC's goalkeeper Sepp Mainville to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Zelg FC's Gilles Clerc got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 10th minute, Téo Rosa made a precise shot to the right of Sepp Mainville. Zelg FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Jonas Herz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lionel Paly having to make a save. Lionel Paly showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonas Herz in the 13th minute of the match. Jonas Herz might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lionel Paly. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jonas Herz ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Irwin Monney got free with Lionel Paly in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tory Pryor in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sepp Mainville saved Zelg FC from getting behind. Jonas Herz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Wil 1900's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Albain Furst was slow to take the kick. During this time Zelg FC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Zelg FC's corner Albain Furst fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lionel Paly quite easily take care of the ball. Jonas Herz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Lionel Paly tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zelg FC's Jonas Herz got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emery Heller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute, Pirmin Jäggi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Wil 1900 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jonas Herz made a kick off. After a rather tough play, FC Wil 1900's Pirmin Jäggi got a free kick in the 50th minute. If Jonas Herz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilles Clerc in the 55th minute of play forced FC Wil 1900's goalkeeper Lionel Paly to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lionel Paly stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jonas Herz's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Sepp Mainville took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tory Pryor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonas Herz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Lionel Paly tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sepp Mainville made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tory Pryor in the 63rd minute of play. Sepp Mainville didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tory Pryor went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. In the 65thth minute of the game Tory Pryor who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zelg FC's Sepp Mainville was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sepp Mainville made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tory Pryor in the 67th minute of play. If Jonas Herz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lionel Paly took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Herz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner led FC Wil 1900's Téo Rosa to fire away a dangerous shot which Sepp Mainville despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Tory Pryor's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Sepp Mainville firmly grabbed it by the left post. Zelg FC's Sepp Mainville proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Zelg FC from getting a goal against them. Zelg FC's Jan Giacomozzi quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ivan Dové, made in the 84th minute of the game. Jonas Herz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lionel Paly having to interfere. Gilles Clerc recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Jonas Herz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zelg FC's Sepp Mainville proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Zelg FC from getting a goal against them. After having played for 95 minutes, Pirmin Jäggi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Wil 1900's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pirmin Jäggi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Zelg FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC Wil 1900's performance. The match ended with a win for FC Wil 1900.
