The coaching staff of FC Wil 1900 protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Bernhard Zollinger had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 26 minutes into the game, one of FC Wil 1900:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ivan Dové's late challenge caught a LavAzzA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ivan Dové helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, FC Wil 1900's Ivan Dové got a free kick in the 33rd minute. When Gaudencio Lekubegi came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the LavAzzA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaudencio Lekubegi couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gaudencio Lekubegi in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lionel Paly saved FC Wil 1900 from getting behind. With a little luck, FC Wil 1900's Lionel Paly got control of the ball when Kuno Kubin tried to sneak it across the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, LavAzzA's goal looked a bit too open when Pirmin Jäggi came free, but Iwan Lepucki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
