Espen Steelers's Ingo Minder quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Andre Schenkel, made in the 3rd minute of the game. 6 minutes into the game, Alberto Hofstetter cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Gregor Kobel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gregor Kobel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Hofstetter in the 8th minute of play. Yan Fossati took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alain Berset, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Espen Steelers getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Federico Abud hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Alain Berset's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Yan Fossati was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Brütten's Yan Fossati proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Brütten from getting a goal against them. Espen Steelers were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after Brütten's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Williams Imholz took the corner. Williams Imholz made a great header on Espen Steelers's corner, it was just that Brütten's Yan Fossati managed to reach the ball for a save. Alberto Hofstetter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the match, Brütten's goal looked a bit too open when Alain Berset came free, but Yan Fossati reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 32 minutes into the game, Brütten's Alberto Hofstetter nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gregor Kobel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Yan Fossati made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Alain Berset sent off a good shot on target. In the 39th minute, Alain Berset left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Espen Steelers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. A hard shot by Williams Imholz from long distance, 47 minutes into the match, got Yan Fossati's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edward Zbytniewski to strike the kick off in the second half. Edward Zbytniewski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alain Berset in the 53rd minute of play forced Brütten's goalkeeper Yan Fossati to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A nice corner shot did that Alberto Giacometti got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Yan Fossati quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 56 minutes into the match, Nino Schurter had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yan Fossati. Brütten's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nino Schurter was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Clint Paly could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Gregor Kobel made a huge save. Gregor Kobel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Zbytniewski in the 62nd minute of play. Gregor Kobel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Zbytniewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 64th minute of the match Williams Imholz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Yan Fossati showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Alberto Hofstetter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Gregor Kobel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Espen Steelers's goalkeeper Gregor Kobel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gregor Kobel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Clint Paly in the 72nd minute. In the 75th minute Rogelio Montez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yan Fossati saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute, Rogelio Montez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Espen Steelers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. Julian von Moos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yan Fossati having to interfere. Espen Steelers's Gregor Kobel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Hofstetter in the 83rd minute of play. Brütten's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alexander Bettinelli in the 85th minute. After taking down the ball on Brütten's corner Alexander Bettinelli fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gregor Kobel quite easily take care of the ball. Rogelio Montez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 89 minutes into the match, Brütten's goal looked a bit too open when Rogelio Montez came free, but Yan Fossati reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogelio Montez in the 91st minute of play forced Brütten's goalkeeper Yan Fossati to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nino Schurter in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yan Fossati prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
