In the 5thth minute of the game Pat Eggers who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uebeschi Rangers's Stanislav Yakovlev was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Uebeschi Rangers defense, Pat Eggers kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stanislav Yakovlev. The Uebeschi Rangers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stanislav Yakovlev should have stopped the shot. Metin Kayaalp charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Metin Kayaalp the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 14th match minute, Uebeschi Rangers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Metin Kayaalp to maneuver through the defense. After 15 played minutes Liver Bird got a freekick which was hit by Alfred Parolini. Thanks to some nice moves Benedetto Louis could shoot a difficult shot in the 16th minute, which Stig Verlengia however easily saved by the left post. Uebeschi Rangers were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after Liver Bird's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Metin Kayaalp took the corner. Metin Kayaalp made a great header on Uebeschi Rangers's corner, it was just that Liver Bird's Stig Verlengia managed to reach the ball for a save. A collision led to Uebeschi Rangers getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Metin Kayaalp hit a great ball. After having played for 24 minutes, Pat Eggers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stanislav Yakovlev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clinton Werfel, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Stanislav Yakovlev didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pat Eggers went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 36 minutes into the match, Uebeschi Rangers's goal looked a bit too open when Pat Eggers came free, but Stanislav Yakovlev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Liver Bird's goal looked a bit too open when Metin Kayaalp came free, but Stig Verlengia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Uebeschi Rangers were awarded a corner in the 38th minute after Liver Bird's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Metin Kayaalp took the corner. The corner led Uebeschi Rangers's Metin Kayaalp to fire away a dangerous shot which Stig Verlengia despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Pat Eggers had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stanislav Yakovlev. Uebeschi Rangers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pat Eggers was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pat Eggers in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stanislav Yakovlev saved Uebeschi Rangers from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Uebeschi Rangers's Patrick Franceschini got a free kick in the 45th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Uebeschi Rangers's goal looked a bit too open when Pat Eggers came free, but Stanislav Yakovlev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 48 minutes Uebeschi Rangers's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jacques La Rosa who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Liver Bird's corner Clinton Werfel fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Stanislav Yakovlev quite easily take care of the ball. The Uebeschi Rangers players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Liver Bird were winning 0-3.

Pat Eggers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Stanislav Yakovlev made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedetto Louis in the 65th minute of play forced Liver Bird's goalkeeper Stig Verlengia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clinton Werfels short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got Stanislav Yakovlev to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Benedetto Louis scored 1-4 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Stig Verlengia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 79th minute, Russell Huther hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Uebeschi Rangers's Reto Pascolo was substituted for Patrick Franceschini. Russell Huther hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. 84 minutes into the match, Uebeschi Rangers's goalkeeper Stanislav Yakovlev had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dimitris Rapsopodis. Stanislav Yakovlev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dimitris Rapsopodis, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Stanislav Yakovlev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dimitris Rapsopodis in the 88th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hassan Schürch during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 90 played minutes Uebeschi Rangers got a freekick which was hit by Hassan Schürch. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Dimitris Rapsopodis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Liver Bird's supporters rose to their feet, but Dimitris Rapsopodis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stanislav Yakovlev breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Liver Bird played a much better game than Uebeschi Rangers and deserved their victory. The Uebeschi Rangers players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
