Yannick Herzog kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Stefan Lyle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Özcan Balcik in the 20th minute of play. Stefan Lyle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Rutsch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute Martin Rutsch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan Lyle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 29 minutes FC Thierachern's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Zachary Pionek who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Zachary Pionek got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Stefan Lyle quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Uetendorf Wanderers's David Aberle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Uetendorf Wanderers from getting a goal against them. After 32 minutes Uetendorf Wanderers's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gabriel Peter who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Gabriel Peter almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Uetendorf Wanderers's David Aberle did a great save. After a rather tough play, FC Thierachern's Yannick Herzog got a free kick in the 37th minute. 38 minutes into the match, FC Thierachern's goal looked a bit too open when Özcan Balcik came free, but Stefan Lyle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute, Lorenzo Hagenbuch got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stefan Lyle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Özcan Balcik, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Martin Rutsch's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stefan Lyle read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Martin Rutsch to make the kick off. David Aberle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amado Makaus, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. FC Thierachern's Stefan Lyle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save FC Thierachern from getting a goal against them. Pablo-Ranieri De la Barra hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. FC Thierachern's Stefan Lyle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zachary Pionek in the 56th minute of play. With a little luck, FC Thierachern's Stefan Lyle got control of the ball when Özcan Balcik tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lorenzo Hagenbuch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Aberle having to interfere. After a rather tough play, FC Thierachern's Benedetto Eisenberg got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 61st minute of the match Zachary Pionek sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Stefan Lyle skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zachary Pionek in the 62nd minute of play forced FC Thierachern's goalkeeper Stefan Lyle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Özcan Balcik recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Uetendorf Wanderers booed when FC Thierachern was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amado Makaus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zachary Pionek was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 66th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Martin Rutsch got free with Stefan Lyle in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Uetendorf Wanderers's Manolo Arnosti got a free kick in the 69th minute. After 71st play minutes Martin Rutsch shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Stefan Lyle and just under the crossbar into goal. Thanks to some nice moves Martin Rutsch could shoot a difficult shot in the 75th minute, which Stefan Lyle however easily saved by the left post. David Aberle didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lorenzo Hagenbuch went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. FC Thierachern's Stefan Lyle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save FC Thierachern from getting a goal against them. FC Thierachern's defense didn't have a chance, in the 91st minute, when Martin Rutsch scored to the left of an out of position Stefan Lyle, making the score, 1-2. Uetendorf Wanderers's Aytunç Neba was substituted for Martin Rutsch. After 96 played minutes FC Thierachern got a freekick which was hit by Pablo-Ranieri De la Barra. When Özcan Balcik came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Uetendorf Wanderers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Özcan Balcik couldn't finish the play. The FC Thierachern supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Uetendorf Wanderers's performance. The match ended with a win for Uetendorf Wanderers.
