Spectators: 6704 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1704, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Constantijn De Loose made the kick off which started today's match. In the 8thth minute of the game Emile Terreur who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ciney's Refael Borglevens was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Freddy Elssen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adolf Van Beringen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Freddy Elssen in the 12th minute. Freddy Elssen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 15thth minute tested the skills of Adolf Van Beringen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some careless play in the Wemmel defense, Freddy Elssen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adolf Van Beringen. The Wemmel fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adolf Van Beringen should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Wemmel getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Jeff Dekeyser hit a great ball. Adolf Van Beringen made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Freddy Elssen sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emile Terreur in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Refael Borglevens saved Ciney from getting behind. A collision led to Ciney getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Giovanni Dekkers hit a great ball. Constantijn De Loose recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Refael Borglevens stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Constantijn De Loose's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. After 36 minutes of play, Wemmel's Emile Terreur made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Refael Borglevens was left in no man's land by his defense there! Constantijn De Loose fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Refael Borglevens having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Georges De Scheper made a kick off. In the 51st match minute, Ciney was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octavian Dedecker to maneuver through the defense. Wemmel's Emile Terreur managed to work through Ciney's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Emile Terreur dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Constantijn De Loose fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Refael Borglevens having to interfere. Freddy Elssen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Adolf Van Beringen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Constantijn De Loose fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Refael Borglevens having to interfere. In the 64th match minute, Ciney was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Georges De Scheper to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th match minute, Wemmel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeff Dekeyser to maneuver through the defense. In the 68th minute, Georges De Scheper got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Wemmel's Thomas-Jan Staes got a free kick in the 70th minute. In the 71st minute, Freddy Elssen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adolf Van Beringen was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 75th minute, Wemmel's Jeff Dekeyser ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Refael Borglevens. Refael Borglevens yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Adolf Van Beringen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Georges De Scheper in the 86th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Ciney's Freddy Elssen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adolf Van Beringen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Georges De Scheper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
