Spectators: 7380 (Terracing: 5536, Seating: 1697, VIP seats: 147) KFC Latem's Elias Herremans started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, KFC Latem's goal looked a bit too open when Armand Stessel came free, but Phillipe Henrix reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of FC The Special Ones booed when KFC Latem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bertrand Justus didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC The Special Ones's Robben Vergau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erik-Jan Verhasselt in the 14th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Erik-Jan Verhasselt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Robben Vergau was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Robben Vergau didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Erik-Jan Verhasselt went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Elias Herremans kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Guy Ballette blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Phillipe Henrix having to make a save.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Armand Stessel made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guy Ballette in the 52nd minute of play forced KFC Latem's goalkeeper Phillipe Henrix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elias Herremans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Robben Vergau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Robben Vergau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Herremans in the 56th minute of the match. Guy Ballette fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phillipe Henrix having to interfere. The FC The Special Ones fans' excitement grew in the 68th match minute when FC The Special Ones's Guy Ballette looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Erik-Jan Verhasselt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute of the match, Erik-Jan Verhasselt got a very nice opportunity to score, but Robben Vergau was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Elias Herremans might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Robben Vergau. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elias Herremans ran back to his position shaking his head. Robben Vergau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Herremans in the 81st minute of the match. If Armand Stessel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elias Herremans received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Robben Vergau came out and tried to block the shot, but Elias Herremans slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 86th minute. Erik-Jan Verhasselt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Robben Vergau made a huge save. With his leg Robben Vergau managed to avoid a goal in the 91stth minute, when KFC Latem's Erik-Jan Verhasselt fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Robben Vergau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Herremans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. KFC Latem played a much better game than FC The Special Ones and deserved their victory. The FC The Special Ones players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
