Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Jorne Reyniers started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. KAA Ottignies's Alfred Vandekerkhove managed to work through Staden's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Alfred Vandekerkhove dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. A hard shot 10 in the game by Miguel Dauwen from a close distance when the talented Freek Wollans managed to make a qualified save. Staden's players were relieved. In the 11th minute, Oscar Uijtterhoven hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Alfred Vandekerkhove came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the KAA Ottignies fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfred Vandekerkhove couldn't finish the play. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 18th minute, but Freek Wollans got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Staden hanging dry this time. In the 19th minute, Miguel Dauwen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Freek Wollans was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Miguel Dauwens short, quick shot in the 31stth minute got Freek Wollans to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 32nd minute Alfred Vandekerkhove shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freek Wollans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Alfred Vandekerkhove had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 36 minutes of play, KAA Ottignies's Miguel Dauwen made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Freek Wollans was left in no man's land by his defense there! 40 minutes into the game, Miguel Dauwen recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Freek Wollans. Miguel Dauwen showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfred Vandekerkhove was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Staden defense, Miguel Dauwen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Freek Wollans. The Staden fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Freek Wollans should have stopped the shot. 62 minutes into the match, Staden's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Dauwen came free, but Freek Wollans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Richy Ceustermans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Freek Wollans stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miguel Dauwen's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. After a rather tough play, KAA Ottignies's Tibau Van De Wijngaert got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 71st minute Miguel Dauwen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freek Wollans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giles Tkint stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jorne Reyniers's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Miguel Dauwen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freek Wollans having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfred Vandekerkhove in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Freek Wollans prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Staden's Freek Wollans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Dauwen in the 78th minute of play. After 91 played minutes KAA Ottignies got a freekick which was hit by Bastian Uijtterhoeven. Freek Wollans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Dauwen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Staden's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
