Spectators: 7301 (Terracing: 5584, Seating: 1712, VIP seats: 5) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Franky Koten started the match with the kick off. Arend De Weijngaerden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matthew Sabbe in the 3rd minute of play. When Ben Servranckx fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Futur's protests and gave Ben Servranckx a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SC Pont- booed when FC Futur was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ben Servranckx didn't get a good kick on the ball. Franky Koten took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Florian Leyman. Florian Leyman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Florian Leyman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ben Servranckx, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Izak Adriaensens kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Arend De Weijngaerden. That made the score 1-1 in the 12 minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, SC Pont-'s goal looked a bit too open when Alfred Vaes came free, but Florian Leyman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute, Franky Koten made a precise shot to the right of Florian Leyman. SC Pont-'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Franky Koten in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Florian Leyman saved SC Pont- from getting behind. Ben Servranckx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 28 minutes into the match, Sebastien Andries dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Arend De Weijngaerden, 2-2. The audience was convinced that Franky Koten's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Florian Leyman was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. 34 minutes into the match, Franky Koten had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Florian Leyman. SC Pont-'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Franky Koten was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Martin Baboeuf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Florian Leyman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Mathieu-Maxim Steuckens managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Futur's supporters rose to their feet, but Mathieu-Maxim Steuckens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Florian Leyman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 45th minute, Franky Koten got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alfred Vaes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Florian Leyman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Matthew Sabbe was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, FC Futur's Ben Servranckx dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-4. In the 57thth minute of the game Franky Koten who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Pont-'s Florian Leyman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. FC Futur's Jannis De Tapp was substituted for Ben Servranckx. Matthew Sabbe took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arend De Weijngaerden. Arend De Weijngaerden dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-4. In the 68thth minute of the game Franky Koten who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Pont-'s Florian Leyman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 72nd minute, Arend Moors left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Pont- fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-4. Sebastien Andries charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sebastien Andries the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to SC Pont- getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Sebastien Andries hit a great ball. 88 minutes into the game, Matthew Sabbe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Pont-'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Futur the free kick. If Jannis De Tapp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Franky Kotens short, quick shot in the 92ndth minute got Florian Leyman to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jannis De Tapp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Florian Leyman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the FC Futur players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
