Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Aleksey Nametkin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hernán Crespo scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thys Latomme, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 13th minute Stan Laureijs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thys Latomme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16thth minute of the game Sebbe Horemans who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC RicardoBG's Aleksey Nametkin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. FC RicardoBG's Hernán Crespo got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hernán Crespo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Thys Latomme having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in KFC Excelsior Balgerhoeke's zone, Hernán Crespo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thys Latomme came out of the goal and Hernán Crespo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thys Latomme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stan Laureijs in the 22nd minute of the match. Christian Owerckx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aleksey Nametkin having to interfere. If Alonzo Higuera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute, Fred Rix hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebbe Horemans got free with Aleksey Nametkin in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 46th minute, Hernán Crespo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sebbe Horemans to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, one of FC RicardoBG:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Alonzo Higuera shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Pierre-Olivier Moerman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Aleksey Nametkin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hernán Crespo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Pierre-Olivier Moerman fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KFC Excelsior Balgerhoeke's protests and gave Pierre-Olivier Moerman a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to KFC Excelsior Balgerhoeke getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Pierre-Olivier Moerman hit a great ball. Hernán Crespo charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hernán Crespo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of KFC Excelsior Balgerhoeke booed when FC RicardoBG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hernán Crespo didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC RicardoBG's Hernán Crespo got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sebbe Horemans in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aleksey Nametkin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Henri-Xavier Van Geele kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Alonzo Higuera managed to get in a good position for a shot. KFC Excelsior Balgerhoeke's supporters rose to their feet, but Alonzo Higuera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aleksey Nametkin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
