Axl Galioet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Levi Van den Berchen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 4-0 became the score in the 24th minute when Steven Ryckeboer elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Levi Van den Berchen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Axl Galioet read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Thomas-Jan Olemans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steven Ryckeboer in the 31st minute of play. In the 36th minute Enzo Herinckx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas-Jan Olemans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute Levi Van den Berchen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Axl Galioet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Steven Ryckeboer to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, FC Montleban's goal looked a bit too open when Enzo Herinckx came free, but Thomas-Jan Olemans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Izak Lanphan during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Thomas-Jan Olemans was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to FC Montleban getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Charly Van Damme hit a great ball. Steven Ryckeboer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Thomas-Jan Olemans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Steven Ryckeboer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas-Jan Olemans having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Reinard Robin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vince Schols took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 87th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Thomas-Jan Olemans. FC Montleban's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 88th play minute Levi Van den Berchen came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Axl Galioet. 5-1. Thomas-Jan Olemans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enzo Herinckx in the 94th minute of play. FC Montleban's Thomas-Jan Olemans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steven Ryckeboer in the 95th minute of play. Tobias Villyn's late challenge caught a The Grass Shotters's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tobias Villyn helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, FC Montleban's Tobias Villyn got a free kick in the 96th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. The Grass Shotters had played much better football throughout.
