The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yanick Stuckers during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 15 played minutes SC Glaaien got a freekick which was hit by Yanick Stuckers. 16 minutes into the match, Perry de Pelsmacker notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of SC Glaaien's Frederic Worteler. Frederic Worteler was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Perry de Pelsmacker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frederic Worteler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas De Koq in the 23rd minute of the match. SC Glaaien's Frederic Worteler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Perry de Pelsmacker in the 24th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FC Verdenne's zone, Dimitri de Pelsmaker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teun Omblet came out of the goal and Dimitri de Pelsmaker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SC Glaaien's Senne Martens got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, FC Verdenne's Luk Verdonk got a free kick in the 36th minute. Perry de Pelsmacker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frederic Worteler having to interfere. Frederic Worteler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Perry de Pelsmacker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half FC Verdenne were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dimitri de Pelsmaker to make the kick off. Manuel Maerschalckx charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Manuel Maerschalckx the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to SC Glaaien getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Manuel Maerschalckx hit a great ball. The supporters of SC Glaaien booed when FC Verdenne was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gust De Werdt didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Senne Martens in the 57th minute of play forced FC Verdenne's goalkeeper Teun Omblet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SC Glaaien's Dimitri de Pelsmaker got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 63 minutes into the match, FC Verdenne's goal looked a bit too open when Senne Martens came free, but Teun Omblet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Geert Van Eijcken kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Kenney Uytterhoeven kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Dimitri de Pelsmaker left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Glaaien fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Frederic Worteler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Verdenne. After a defensive mix-up in SC Glaaien's zone, Lucas De Koq stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frederic Worteler came out of the goal and Lucas De Koq tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC Verdenne's Perry de Pelsmacker got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The FC Verdenne players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
