Franck Kerstens's late challenge caught a FC Verdenne's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Franck Kerstens helped the player get up and apologised. The FC Verdenne players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SC Glaaien were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dimitri de Pelsmaker to make the kick off. Lucas De Koq struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Frederic Worteler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Verdenne. In the 55th minute, Senne Martens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Glaaien's Dimitri de Pelsmaker slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Teun Omblet. That made the score 0-2 after 58 minutes of play. Perry de Pelsmacker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. In the 77th minute, Dimitri de Pelsmaker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luk Verdonk hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Teun Omblet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dimitri de Pelsmaker in the 80th minute of play. In the 85th minute, Dimitri de Pelsmaker reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Teun Omblet. The goal made the score 0-3. In the 89th minute Dimitri de Pelsmaker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teun Omblet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Perry de Pelsmacker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Senne Martens came free with the goalkeeper in the 94th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Teun Omblet could save by the left post. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. SC Glaaien had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
