An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven Lijsens in the 26th minute of play forced F.C. Pantufas's goalkeeper Perry Massenhove to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Patrik Focquier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th minute, Arne Van den Enden got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Ivo Sellekaers fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored F.C. Pantufas's protests and gave Ivo Sellekaers a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to F.C. Pantufas getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Ivo Sellekaers hit a great ball. 40 minutes into the game, Patrik Focquier recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Joerie Van Parijs. Patrik Focquier showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. If Arne Van den Enden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Patrik Focquier stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Patrik Focquier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patrik Focquier's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joerie Van Parijs read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. After a rather tough play, KFC Knesselare's Douglas Cuejvers got a free kick in the 60th minute. The supporters of KFC Knesselare booed when F.C. Pantufas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olivier Petermans didn't get a good kick on the ball. Steven Mesmaeckers, 75 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Joerie Van Parijs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrik Focquier, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Douglas Cuejvers got his second yellow card in the match during the 82nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, KFC Knesselare's Douglas Cuejvers got a free kick in the 83rd minute. If Arne Van den Enden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Olivier Petermans managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C. Pantufas's supporters rose to their feet, but Olivier Petermans was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joerie Van Parijs breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Olivier Petermans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ludo Van Hamme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Perry Massenhove tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to KFC Knesselare getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Sven Lijsens hit a great ball. F.C. Pantufas walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
