Evert-Jan Petermans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Aaron Stuckens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filip Bosbeeck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aaron Stuckens having to interfere. In the 22nd match minute, Club Kermt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank Dumont to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Club Kermt getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Aaron Caes hit a great ball. Aaron Stuckens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evert-Jan Petermans, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Club Kermt's zone, Filip Bosbeeck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aaron Stuckens came out of the goal and Filip Bosbeeck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 31st minute Patrik Van Caenegem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thys Van Espen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aaron Stuckens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evert-Jan Petermans in the 38th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Patrik Van Caenegem to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jeremy Van Beringen during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Thys Van Espen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremy Van Beringen in the 84th minute of play. R Antwerp FC's Evert-Jan Petermans got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thys Van Espen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeremy Van Beringen in the 93rd minute of the match. 96 minutes into the match, R Antwerp FC's goal looked a bit too open when Patrik Van Caenegem came free, but Thys Van Espen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. R Antwerp FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
