Spectators: 6707 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1707, VIP seats: 0) FC Zonhoven's Benne Teurfs started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carel Van der Weijden during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to FC Zonhoven getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Carel Van der Weijden hit a great ball. In the 3rd match minute, R Antwerp FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bart-Jan Schepens to maneuver through the defense. FC Zonhoven were furious when Wim Maertens was red carded, 4 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The supporters of R Antwerp FC booed when FC Zonhoven was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wim Maertens didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th minute Evert-Jan Petermans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wart Ketelers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Zonhoven's Wart Ketelers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silver Vaarmets in the 8th minute of play. Evert-Jan Petermans scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wart Ketelers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thys Van Espen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carel Van der Weijden, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 16th minute Juljan Sanevich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wart Ketelers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to FC Zonhoven getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Abel Van Den Broek hit a great ball. In the 20th minute, Filip Bosbeeck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 24 minutes into the match, FC Zonhoven's goal looked a bit too open when Filip Bosbeeck came free, but Wart Ketelers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Kristiaan Huybreghts in the 28th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FC Zonhoven's Benne Teurfs. Thys Van Espen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carel Van der Weijden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wart Ketelers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Evert-Jan Petermans went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Silver Vaarmets took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wart Ketelers. Wart Ketelers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Silver Vaarmets took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wart Ketelers. In the 52nd minute, Silver Vaarmets reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Wart Ketelers. The goal made the score 0-6. Thanks to some nice moves Evert-Jan Petermans could shoot a difficult shot in the 62nd minute, which Wart Ketelers however easily saved by the left post. Thys Van Espen came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Zonhoven's Carel Van der Weijden. But to his dismay, Carel Van der Weijden quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-7. Wart Ketelers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filip Bosbeeck in the 67th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the match, Silver Vaarmets dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Wart Ketelers, 1-8. Wart Ketelers was a little too slow when Filip Bosbeeck got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 78th minute. The score was now 1-9. Wart Ketelers was out of position in the 81 minute of play, and Silver Vaarmets capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Silver Vaarmets really showed his touch with that goal: 1-10. When Evert-Jan Petermans fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored R Antwerp FC's protests and gave Evert-Jan Petermans a yellow card for diving instead. Wart Ketelers was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Filip Bosbeeck showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-11 in the 87 minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Filip Bosbeeck dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Wart Ketelers, 1-12. R Antwerp FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
