Spectators: 7465 (Terracing: 5600, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Matthy Van Den Bosch started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in KFC Ham-sur-Heure-Nalinnes's zone, Matthy Van Den Bosch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ief Stoffels came out of the goal and Matthy Van Den Bosch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 11th minute Gilliam De Ryck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thierry Sterkx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, KFC Ham-sur-Heure-Nalinnes's Jochen De Roest nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thierry Sterkx made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Steffe Andriesens hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. 26 minutes into the match, KFC Ham-sur-Heure-Nalinnes's goalkeeper Ief Stoffels had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marnix Theijs. Marnix Theijs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jochen De Roest sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd minute, Gilliam De Ryck left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KFC Ham-sur-Heure-Nalinnes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Thierry Sterkx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jochen De Roest in the 39th minute of play. 40 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when KFC Ham-sur-Heure-Nalinnes's Jochen De Roest fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Jochen De Roest might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thierry Sterkx. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jochen De Roest ran back to his position shaking his head. Jochen De Roest received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Thierry Sterkx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jochen De Roest to strike the kick off in the second half. Gilliam De Ryck took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thierry Sterkx. Thierry Sterkx dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. Gilliam De Ryck's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thierry Sterkx read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. A collision led to KFC Ham-sur-Heure-Nalinnes getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Quillian Steenberghs hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, KFC Ham-sur-Heure-Nalinnes's Joerie Emeleers got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Ief Stoffels showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matthy Van Den Bosch, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Jochen De Roest fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thierry Sterkx having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in U18 Academy's zone, Jochen De Roest stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thierry Sterkx came out of the goal and Jochen De Roest tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tibau Windelinckx kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Matthy Van Den Bosch's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ief Stoffels read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Marnix Theijs ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ief Stoffels was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-4. Gilliam De Ryck's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Thierry Sterkx firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 81st minute, Gilliam De Ryck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 84th play minutes Gilliam De Ryck shot 3-5, a short shot which went by Thierry Sterkx and just under the crossbar into goal. KFC Ham-sur-Heure-Nalinnes's Quillian Steenberghs got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
