Daniel Van Leempoel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jozef De Weijngaerden in the 23rd minute. A collision led to Grandmenil getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Roel Lanphant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Jozef De Weijngaerden came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Vaulx fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jozef De Weijngaerden couldn't finish the play. After having played for 42 minutes, Oliver Verheecke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vaulx's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oliver Verheecke was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 44 minutes into the match, Grandmenil's goalkeeper Daniel Van Leempoel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hannes Susters. In the 45th minute, Benny Van Brusselen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roel Lanphant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paul Reniers, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After a rather tough play, Vaulx's Jozef De Weijngaerden got a free kick in the 47th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Michiel Van Gysel to strike the kick off in the second half. Hannes Susters fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Van Leempoel having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paul Reniers got free with Roel Lanphant in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Paul Reniers managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grandmenil's supporters rose to their feet, but Paul Reniers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roel Lanphant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Vaulx's Jozef De Weijngaerden got a free kick in the 68th minute. Dominick Figaros short, quick shot in the 69thth minute got Roel Lanphant to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Daniel Van Leempoel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hannes Susters, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Franck Jennis kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. 77 minutes into the game, Vaulx's Michiel Van Gysel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Daniel Van Leempoel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 86 minutes into the match, Vaulx's goalkeeper Roel Lanphant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dominick Figaro. Hannes Susters fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Van Leempoel having to interfere. Michiel Van Gysel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vaulx were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Grandmenil to leave the ground with a draw.
