The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arthur-Maurits Deflandre showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 10th minute Giovanni Jooris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arthur-Maurits Deflandre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 14 played minutes SC Wolvertem got a freekick which was hit by Aaron De Maerschalckx. In the 15th minute of the match Octaaf Van Meerbeec sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arthur-Maurits Deflandre skillfully saved the ball. Jannic van Bedts hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Aaron De Maerschalckx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With 33 minutes on the clock, Sammy Uytdebroeck commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Wolvertem fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 33rd minute. Penalty! Charly v.Parijs's Ivan Peeters proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Charly v.Parijs from getting a goal against them. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sebbe De Hertoge to strike the kick off in the second half. Giovanni Jooris took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arthur-Maurits Deflandre. Arthur-Maurits Deflandre dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 75th minute, Jeoffrey Wilmots hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Philip Van den Berghe hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Paul-Louis De Rijck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Peeters having to interfere. If Philip Van den Berghe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. SC Wolvertem's defense didn't have a chance, in the 92nd minute, when Giovanni Jooris scored to the left of an out of position Arthur-Maurits Deflandre, making the score, 1-4. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Charly v.Parijs had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
