Val's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kasper vrolix was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kasper vrolix blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Matteo De Swert having to make a save. 16 minutes into the match, Val's goal looked a bit too open when Rik Kempenaers came free, but Reinaud Helssen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reinaud Helssen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bartjan De Roest went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Abraham Van den Panhuizen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rik Kempenaers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reinaud Helssen having to interfere. In the 34thth minute of the game Kasper vrolix who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Samart's Matteo De Swert was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Samart's Abraham Van den Panhuizen got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Jos Van Geele had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Kasper vrolix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Samart were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Abraham Van den Panhuizen might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Reinaud Helssen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rik Kempenaers who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Reinaud Helssen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rik Kempenaers got free with Reinaud Helssen in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Reinaud Helssen was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lucien Gielens showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 98 minute of play. The Samart supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Samart would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
