In the 15th minute, Bartjan Van Nel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 19 minutes into the match, Saint-Denis's goal looked a bit too open when Gerard Van den Berge came free, but Pierre Van Eyke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute Fred Ombelets suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 20 minutes into the game, Sylvan Van Hespen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Saint-Denis's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brielen the free kick. Pierre Van Eyke was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ian De Potter. In the 23rd minute, Henri-Xavier Le Page got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bartjan Van Nel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 32 in the game by Renzo Lambrechts from a close distance when the talented Pierre Van Eyke managed to make a qualified save. Saint-Denis's players were relieved. Lucien Vanneste received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Billie Van Collenborgh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Billie Van Collenborgh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartjan Van Nel in the 41st minute of play. Bartjan Van Nel struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Billie Van Collenborgh didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saint-Denis. The supporters of Saint-Denis booed when Brielen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henri-Xavier Le Page didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th minute, Bartjan Van Nel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

After having played for 55 minutes, Mickael De Roest managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saint-Denis's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mickael De Roest was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Billie Van Collenborgh made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Mickael De Roest sent off a good shot on target. In the 60th minute, Jorn Degens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Bartjan Van Nel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Saint-Denis fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 75th minute. Penalty! After having played for 82 minutes, Henri-Xavier Le Page managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mickael De Roest could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Billie Van Collenborgh made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Brielen's Maurice Rockloos got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Isaac Correyns took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 93rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Billie Van Collenborgh. Brielen's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Brielen's zone, Mickael De Roest stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Billie Van Collenborgh came out of the goal and Mickael De Roest tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Billie Van Collenborgh made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mickael De Roest in the 98th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Saint-Denis players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Brielen.
