After 21 played minutes, KSV Snaaskerke's Mickael Vissenaekers shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jos Smeyers came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in KSV Snaaskerke reached it. If Luka Dauwe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Luka Dauwe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 36 minutes into the match, KSV Snaaskerke's goal looked a bit too open when Brent Valckeneers came free, but Stefan Du Molin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Harold Van Houdtvinck stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in KV Achtendries's zone, Harold Van Houdtvinck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jos Smeyers came out of the goal and Harold Van Houdtvinck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harold Van Houdtvinck in the 53rd minute of play forced KV Achtendries's goalkeeper Jos Smeyers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Yvan Sas managed to get in a good position for a shot. KSV Snaaskerke's supporters rose to their feet, but Yvan Sas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jos Smeyers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jos Smeyers came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by KSV Snaaskerke's Harold Van Houdtvinck. But to his dismay, Harold Van Houdtvinck quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 76th minute, Yvan Sas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Harold Van Houdtvinck in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jos Smeyers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Harold Van Houdtvinck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Jos Smeyers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Gino Mesmaekers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Yvan Sas managed to get in a good position for a shot. KSV Snaaskerke's supporters rose to their feet, but Yvan Sas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jos Smeyers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. KSV Snaaskerke's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
