The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to ZatteRené getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Ryan Vandamme hit a great ball. 7 minutes into the game, ZatteRené's Geordy Rosbach nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roy Koninkx made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 14th minute Pieterjan Vissenakens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roy Koninkx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geordy Rosbach scored 0-2 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roy Koninkx, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Roy Koninkx took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ryan Vandamme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute, Ron Schrijns made a precise shot to the right of Roy Koninkx. Soup-A-Stars's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. When Geordy Rosbach came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the ZatteRené fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geordy Rosbach couldn't finish the play. After having played for 47 minutes, Geordy Rosbach managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ZatteRené's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geordy Rosbach was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Geordy Rosbach to make the kick off. Remy Engelberchs's late challenge caught a Soup-A-Stars's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Remy Engelberchs helped the player get up and apologised. With a little luck, Soup-A-Stars's Roy Koninkx got control of the ball when Pieterjan Vissenakens tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 61st minute Geordy Rosbach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roy Koninkx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 61 minutes into the game, Dylan Van den Panhuyzen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Soup-A-Stars's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ZatteRené the free kick. The supporters of ZatteRené booed when Soup-A-Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dylan Van den Panhuyzen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Soup-A-Stars's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Geordy Rosbach 64 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-4. In the 67th minute, one of Soup-A-Stars:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Soup-A-Stars. 71 minutes into the match, Soup-A-Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Geordy Rosbach came free, but Roy Koninkx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Geordy Rosbach's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roy Koninkx read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. A well done corner resulted in Ryan Vandamme drilling the ball in to score 0-5 behind Soup-A-Stars's goalkeeper. Soup-A-Stars's Roy Koninkx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geordy Rosbach in the 83rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pieterjan Vissenakens got free with Roy Koninkx in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Geordy Rosbach in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roy Koninkx saved Soup-A-Stars from getting behind. Dylan Van den Panhuyzen hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Geordy Rosbach fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roy Koninkx having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded ZatteRené left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Soup-A-Stars.
