A very good chance for a goal. If Ken Declerck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Tibau Du Sausois came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the KSV Hooglede fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tibau Du Sausois couldn't finish the play. Ken Declerck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick van der Eycken having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tibau Du Sausois in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Patrick van der Eycken saved Wilrijk from getting behind. Luke Loosen struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Karl Bellinkx didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wilrijk. Luke Loosen took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Karl Bellinkx. Karl Bellinkx dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. When Nestor Van den Haute fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KSV Hooglede's protests and gave Nestor Van den Haute a yellow card for diving instead. In the 29th match minute, KSV Hooglede was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestor Van den Haute to maneuver through the defense. Ken Declerck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick van der Eycken having to interfere. After 37 minutes, Tibau Du Sausois made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Wilrijk's Patrick van der Eycken tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ken Declerck in the 41st minute of play forced Wilrijk's goalkeeper Patrick van der Eycken to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute, Ferdinand Kloots hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Diedrik Van Hooveldt made a kick off. Patrick van der Eycken took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tibau Du Sausois, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patrick van der Eycken came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by KSV Hooglede's Ken Declerck. But to his dismay, Ken Declerck quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After 72 played minutes, KSV Hooglede's Julien De Spiegeleire shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Patrick van der Eycken came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in KSV Hooglede reached it. In the 75th minute, Tibau Du Sausois got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ken Declerck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patrick van der Eycken was out of position in the 80 minute of play, and Tibau Du Sausois capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tibau Du Sausois really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Patrick van der Eycken showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tibau Du Sausois in the 95th minute of the match. If Ken Declerck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. KSV Hooglede's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
