Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Arne Van den Panhuyzen made the kick off which started today's match. In the 8th match minute, Sivry-Rance was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nico Claessens to maneuver through the defense. Bartjan Deman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Bartjan Deman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 26 minutes, Arne Van den Panhuyzen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sivry-Rance's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arne Van den Panhuyzen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Arlon's goalkeeper Johny Van Halbeeck, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 33 played minutes Arlon got a freekick which was hit by Wes Steenbeeck. George De Munck could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Johny Van Halbeeck made a huge save. George De Munck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johny Van Halbeeck having to interfere. George De Munck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Johny Van Halbeeck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arne Van den Panhuyzen in the 45th minute of the match. George De Munck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Andrew Devriendt made the kick off in the second half. Johny Van Halbeeck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George De Munck in the 52nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, George De Munck managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sivry-Rance's supporters rose to their feet, but George De Munck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johny Van Halbeeck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Arlon getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Bernt Van Meel hit a great ball. Johny Van Halbeeck stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of George De Munck's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Sivry-Rance's Alexandre Streels got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Arne Van den Panhuyzen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 66 minutes, Charly Bruynincx mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sivry-Rance and the Arlon players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 66th minute, Charly Bruynincx hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Andrew Devriendt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vic Weijnandts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrew Devriendt, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. If George De Munck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arne Van den Panhuyzen in the 96th minute of play forced Arlon's goalkeeper Johny Van Halbeeck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
