The Frietjes Met Mayonaise fans' excitement grew in the 10th match minute when Frietjes Met Mayonaise's Jon Hasselqvist looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Joeri Terreur could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Serge Bauwens made a huge save. Xavier Godefroid hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 22nd match minute, Frietjes Met Mayonaise was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maxime Vandenberge to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Frietjes Met Mayonaise's Marcus Blommaert got a free kick in the 26th minute. Serge Bauwens was out of position in the 37 minute of play, and Romain De Pauw capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Romain De Pauw really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Kenneth Uytebroeck stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jon Hasselqvist's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Seppe Bellinkx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Beyne-Heusay's Kenneth Uytebroeck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexander Cockaerts in the 48th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alexander Cockaerts to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Frietjes Met Mayonaise's Luke De Roeck seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Luke De Roeck the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Frietjes Met Mayonaise protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Luke De Roeck had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 52nd minute of the game. One of Frietjes Met Mayonaise:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SC Beyne-Heusay:s goal. Serge Bauwens went to the wrong direction when Georges Ryers was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 65th minute, SC Beyne-Heusay's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Seppe Bellinkx fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 66th minute, Xavier Godefroid hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alexander Cockaerts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Alexander Cockaerts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, SC Beyne-Heusay's Romain De Pauw got a free kick in the 75th minute. 81 minutes into the match, SC Beyne-Heusay's goal looked a bit too open when Alexander Cockaerts came free, but Kenneth Uytebroeck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th match minute, SC Beyne-Heusay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sam Van Langhendoncx to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th minute of the match Seppe Bellinkx shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kenneth Uytebroeck showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 87th minute, Xavier Godefroid hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 89 minutes into the match, Frietjes Met Mayonaise's Alexander Cockaerts sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kenneth Uytebroeck narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alexander Cockaerts's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kenneth Uytebroeck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. Frietjes Met Mayonaise were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing SC Beyne-Heusay to leave the ground with a draw.
