After a defensive mix-up in KSV Keerbergen's zone, Balthazar Debrouwere stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Josef Steuckens came out of the goal and Balthazar Debrouwere tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. KVSK Herentals's Balthazar Debrouwere got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of KVSK Herentals booed when KSV Keerbergen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teo Verdeyen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Norbert Van De Wijngaert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Josef Steuckens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Josef Steuckens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norbert Van De Wijngaert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Josef Steuckens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Balthazar Debrouwere, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Joop Lambert managed to get in a good position for a shot. KSV Keerbergen's supporters rose to their feet, but Joop Lambert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Steve Poelmans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to KSV Keerbergen getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Dominick Van Lier hit a great ball. 19 minutes into the match, KSV Keerbergen's goal looked a bit too open when Norbert Van De Wijngaert came free, but Josef Steuckens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rdth minute of the game Norbert Van De Wijngaert who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KSV Keerbergen's Josef Steuckens was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 25th minute, Norbert Van De Wijngaert got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Norbert Van De Wijngaert blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Josef Steuckens having to make a save. KVSK Herentals's Steve Poelmans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joop Lambert in the 32nd minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, KSV Keerbergen's goal looked a bit too open when Balthazar Debrouwere came free, but Josef Steuckens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Josef Steuckens stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Norbert Van De Wijngaert's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. Josef Steuckens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norbert Van De Wijngaert, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. In the 60th minute, Joop Lambert left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KSV Keerbergen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Balthazar Debrouwere sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Reemy Van Cleijnenbreugel managed to get in a good position for a shot. KVSK Herentals's supporters rose to their feet, but Reemy Van Cleijnenbreugel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Josef Steuckens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. KVSK Herentals's Steve Poelmans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joop Lambert in the 76th minute of play. 82 minutes into the game, KSV Keerbergen's Dominick Van Lier nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Steve Poelmans made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. If Balthazar Debrouwere had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ewout Huvenaerts kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. In the 89th minute, Ewout Huvenaerts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joop Lambert in the 92nd minute of play forced KVSK Herentals's goalkeeper Steve Poelmans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Steve Poelmans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dominick Van Lier in the 93rd minute of the match. Steve Poelmans stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joop Lambert's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. Boudewijn Asselberghs's late challenge caught a KSV Keerbergen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Boudewijn Asselberghs helped the player get up and apologised. In the 95th match minute, KVSK Herentals was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boudewijn Asselberghs to maneuver through the defense. Dominick Van Lier's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Steve Poelmans read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. KSV Keerbergen had won after a very even match.
