To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 39 minutes into the match, Meeuwen-Gruitrode 's goal looked a bit too open when Joos Lambrechs came free, but Kristiaan Sommers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Janes Enskens in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kristiaan Sommers saved Meeuwen-Gruitrode from getting behind. Miguel Serneels sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Joos Lambrechs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Meeuwen-Gruitrode players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. KSV Roeselare were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Miguel Serneels made the kick off in the second half. Jos Milters charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Lucas Hatch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mike Van Eeckhout in the 84th minute of the match. Mike Van Eeckhout scored 1-2 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lucas Hatch, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 1-3 became the score in the 89th minute when Joos Lambrechs elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar.
