Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) Bjorn Neef started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bastian De Koq in the 4th minute of play forced SC Wevelgem's goalkeeper Vicente Steenbeeck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 6 minutes into the game, KAA Lint's Gillis Stroobant nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vicente Steenbeeck made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bjorn Neef in the 10th minute of play forced KAA Lint's goalkeeper Maxim-Alexander Goens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SC Wevelgem's Gilles Stevens got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 14th minute Bastian De Koq shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Steenbeeck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vicente Steenbeeck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Van De Gehuchte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Bjorn Neef managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Wevelgem's supporters rose to their feet, but Bjorn Neef was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maxim-Alexander Goens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gillis Stroobant got free with Vicente Steenbeeck in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 21 minutes into the match, Gustaaf Van De Gehuchte dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Vicente Steenbeeck, 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bjorn Neef in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maxim-Alexander Goens saved KAA Lint from getting behind. Maxim-Alexander Goens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bjorn Neef in the 31st minute of the match. In the 32nd minute of the match SC Wevelgem got a corner. KAA Lint's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bjorn Neef ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well done corner resulted in Vicente Van Hoof drilling the ball in to score 2-1 behind KAA Lint's goalkeeper. The supporters of SC Wevelgem booed when KAA Lint was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander De Poorter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gillis Stroobant hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Vicente Steenbeeck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bastian De Koq in the 40th minute of the match. Gillis Stroobant fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Steenbeeck having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bastian De Koq to strike the kick off in the second half. Carlos De Custer kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in KAA Lint's zone, Carlos De Custer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maxim-Alexander Goens came out of the goal and Carlos De Custer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gustaaf Van De Gehuchte hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Bjorn Neef sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Wevelgem's Vicente Steenbeeck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gillis Stroobant in the 65th minute of play. KAA Lint's defense didn't have a chance, in the 69th minute, when Bjorn Neef scored to the left of an out of position Maxim-Alexander Goens, making the score, 3-2. Maxim-Alexander Goens came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Wevelgem's Bjorn Neef. But to his dismay, Bjorn Neef quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. With his leg Maxim-Alexander Goens managed to avoid a goal in the 77thth minute, when SC Wevelgem's Bjorn Neef fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Vicente Steenbeeck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Van De Gehuchte in the 79th minute of play. During the 82nd minute of the match Jos Theuniers completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jos Theuniers a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Jos Theuniers hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After 86 minutes, Bjorn Neef made it 3-4 with a short kick to the right side. KAA Lint's Maxim-Alexander Goens tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 93 minutes into the match, Gilles Stevens had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Maxim-Alexander Goens. KAA Lint's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gilles Stevens was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-5. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SC Wevelgem eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
