Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) Mathias-Alexander Van de Leest made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 5th minute, Richard Verbruggen sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Lierde's Angelo Baboeuf didn't even have to move. In the 8th minute, Richard Verbruggen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gery Vanden Broucke during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Lierde's Gery Vanden Broucke got a free kick in the 13th minute. Angelo Baboeuf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mathias-Alexander Van de Leest in the 14th minute of play. Refael Van Dongel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Billy Van den Wyngaert having to interfere. VC Nieuwendorp's Youri De Mey got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Angelo Baboeuf took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Youri De Mey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Mathias-Alexander Van de Leest came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the VC Nieuwendorp fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mathias-Alexander Van de Leest couldn't finish the play. 37 minutes into the match, VC Nieuwendorp's goalkeeper Billy Van den Wyngaert had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Refael Van Dongel. In the 41st minute, Mathias-Alexander Van de Leest hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Gery Vanden Broucke from long distance, 42 minutes into the match, got Billy Van den Wyngaert's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Mathias-Alexander Van de Leest sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Youri De Mey came free with the goalkeeper in the 52nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Angelo Baboeuf could save by the left post. Remie Hollanders hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Chris-George Carpenter struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Billy Van den Wyngaert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lierde. VC Nieuwendorp's Billy Van den Wyngaert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pierre-Paul De Meulder in the 60th minute of play. If Mathias-Alexander Van de Leest had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th minute Mathias-Alexander Van de Leest shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Baboeuf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rdth minute of the game Pierre-Paul De Meulder who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but VC Nieuwendorp's Billy Van den Wyngaert was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Lierde's Angelo Baboeuf got control of the ball when Youri De Mey tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Refael Van Dongel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lierde's Angelo Baboeuf proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Lierde from getting a goal against them. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. VC Nieuwendorp had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
