In the 10th minute, Leopold Vrijdag reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Herbert Van den Berch. The goal made the score 1-0. Gust Koppens stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jon De Groote's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. If Jon De Groote had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Huizeneinde's Herbert Van den Berch proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Huizeneinde from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Huizeneinde's zone, Leopold Vrijdag stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Herbert Van den Berch came out of the goal and Leopold Vrijdag tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vince Tuerlinckx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Arnold van Hacht fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Huizeneinde's protests and gave Arnold van Hacht a yellow card for diving instead. Arnold van Hacht kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Huizeneinde's zone, Leopold Vrijdag stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Herbert Van den Berch came out of the goal and Leopold Vrijdag tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Robin Van Acht made a kick off. Jon De Groote received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gust Koppens came out and tried to block the shot, but Jon De Groote slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 52nd minute. In the 57th minute, one of KV Hertain:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for KV Hertain. When the match had been going on for 59 minutes, Huizeneinde's Mickael Hellemons got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Gust Koppens. If Robin Van Acht had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jon De Groote scored 1-4 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gust Koppens, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of KV Hertain booed when Huizeneinde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bart-Jan Van Meerbek didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leopold Vrijdag sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jon De Groote in the 86thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gust Koppens, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. KV Hertain's Vince Tuerlinckx got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Huizeneinde defense, Leopold Vrijdag kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Herbert Van den Berch. The Huizeneinde fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Herbert Van den Berch should have stopped the shot. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Huizeneinde walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
